Newspaper Head and Tail Control

Web Printing Controls' Head and Tail Control automatically aligns web leads circumferentially at make readies and re-starts and maintains accurate cut off register throughout the press run. The result is less paper waste, and improved product quality.

Auto Cold Start

The CCD imager automatically seeks and locks on the target mark, even from a cold start. No manual positioning or lengthy make ready is required; just put the system in auto mode and go.

Micro Target Mark

The system reads one small mark for head and tail register calculations. The special target mark measures (lat x circ) 0.400" x 0.025" (10.1 mm x 1.27 mm) and requires less than 1/16" (1.58mm) total clear space.

Easy to Use Workstation

The touch screen workstation features visual job setup and on-line help. Jobs can be setup, stored, and recalled for future runs. After setup, operation can be as simple as touching an icon and selecting auto mode. The system does the rest. Easy to use menus reduce your press crew's learning curve. Most crews are fully trained within one shift.

Low Maintenance Design

A long life pulsed solid state light source and a self cleaning lens minimize maintenance.
